The Attachments folder is a virtual folder in the Messages section of Convergence. Depending on how your system is configured, you may not have access to the Attachments folder. Ask your system administrator whether this feature is installed.
When you select the Attachments folder, the Attachments tab appears in the Work Area.
The Attachments folder provides the following features:
View all attachments: All attachments in your inbox and in your email folders are displayed in the Attachments tab. Using the view buttons, you can display your attachments in the following ways:
Thumbnail View: In this mode the attachments appear in a grid format.
Filmstrip View: This mode displays enlarged view of the images. The attachments appear in a single column and users can navigate the attachments by using the arrow keys or the right and left click buttons of your mouse.
Fullscreen View: Displays the attachments as a slide show in full screen mode. You can also press the F11 key to invoke the full screen view. A new window opens and all the images are available as a slide show. Click Next and Previous to navigate. Click Play to automatically play the slide show. The Exit button brings you back to the Attachments view.
Search all attachments: You can search and filter your attachments in the Attachments tab. Use the Quick Filter field in the top-right corner of the Attachments tab to search and filter all your attachments by name, content, sender, date, type, or folder. Open an attachment: You can view an attachment in a new tab in Convergence. Right-click on an attachment and select Open. See How Do I View a File Attached to a Message? for more information.
Save/Download an attachment: You can download an attachment to your computer. Right-click on an attachment and select Save. See How Do I Save a File Attached to a Message? for more information.
View message: You can open the email message to which the selected file is attached. Right-click on an attachment and select View Message.
Send attachment: You can create a blank email with the selected attachment already attached. Right-click on an attachment and select Send. The blank email appears in a new Compose tab in the work area. See How Do I Compose and Send a New Message? for more information about the Compose tab.
