You can search for attachments in the Attachments folder. For more information about the Attachments folder, see About the Attachments Folder. Depending on how your system is configured, you may not have access to the Attachments folder. Ask your system administrator whether this feature is installed.
You can search and filter all your attachments by name, content, sender, date, type, or folder.
To search for attachments:
In the Messages section, select Attachments.
The Attachment tab appears in the work area displaying all your attachments.
Do any of the following:
Search by the name and content of your attachments:
In the Quick Filter field (in the top-right corner of the work area), click the down arrow to select your search criteria:
Name: Searches for attachments by file name.
Name and Content: Searches for attachments by file name and by content.
In the Quick Filter field, enter the search text.
Attachments are filtered as you enter text that matches the search criteria.
Search using additional filters:
Beside the Quick Search field, click More Filters.
A dialog box appears listing the available filters:
Sender: Filter attachments based on the sender. You can enter an email address or choose someone from your address book.
Date: Filter attachments that you received on a specific date or across a range of dates.
Type: Filter attachments based on the type of file that you are looking for.
Folder: Filter attachments based on the folder in which the email message they are attached to is saved.
Configure the filter:
When filtering by sender, in the Sender field, enter an email address. As you type, Convergence proposes possible senders from your address book.
When filtering by date, place your cursor in the From field, then the To field. A small calendar dialog box appears. Select a date from the calendar. To filter attachments received on a specific day, specify the same date in the From and the To fields.
When filtering by type, select the check boxes for all the types of files you want to filter.
When filtering by folder, select the folder in which the email message with the attachment is saved.
Click Apply.
Attachments matching the filtering criteria are displayed.
A row displaying the configured filter appears underneath the Quick Filter field. Click on a filter to edit it.
You can add one of each type of filter, meaning you can have a total of four filters active at the same time. Only attachments that meet the criteria of all active are displayed. You can remove a filter by clicking the X icon on its row.
